Employers: Why do you need put more information about your company in an employment Ad?
Because candidates are no longer looking for just a job. They are shopping employers too. Company culture is very important to them. Be a Top Choice Employer and provide them a window to your company culture.

I was supposed to arrive in Detroit on Wednesday evening, instead arrived into Detroit at Midnight Friday morning. It was 2:00am before crawling into bed at home in Marshall.
Then there’s working in an airport, trying to find an outlet to plug into and balancing a cell phone, laptop & pad of paper on a bouncing knee. Waiting in line to buy a “bagel sandwich” and bottle of water for dinner and the plane ride.
For 2 years, I worked two weeks in Michigan and 2 weeks in Florida. I had forgotten the grind of it, but now I remember why I left that life behind me.
Friday’s Focus is a shout out to all those who have to travel in their job. Thank you for all that you endure to ensure business gets done!

Glassdoor and Kununu provide job seekers needed information which wasn’t available to them just 10 years ago. Now job seekers can go to these 2 sites and research salary data and employee reviews of the company they are considering working for.
Employers take note: 92% of applicants now look for company reviews and 47% of those turn down job offers from companies with poor reviews. Time to check reviews for your company.

Why do I suggest using keywords from the job posting in your cover letter and resume?
Because many applicant tracking systems (ATS) use artificial intelligence (AI) to select resumes for employers. The systems scan for keywords that match both the job posting and the applicant’s materials.

"I didn't have time."
Excuses are frequently heard, be proactive instead. Skip the excuse and let them know when they can expect the finished product. Try this instead, "I will be able to get this done by …".
