I’ve had employers hold on filling positions for months – even years (thank goodness very rarely). The point I’m making is that hiring managers often want to hold off on hiring - waiting for the perfect fit. However, they often risk passing on a truly great opportunity.
A candidate’s attitude is golden. Candidates who have the potential or transferrable skills are more often become employees with the “perfect fit”. The time lost in waiting could be spent in investing and guiding a new hire into the “perfect fit”.

Gold star for Beverly!!!
She contacted me and told me that her position would be ending on June 30th. We finished her new resume and cover letter on July 6th. She’s already started her new job - this month, in August!
No down time or unemployment for her!
She is a veteran with an extensive Executive Administrative Assistant background and the past few years had been serving as an Accounting Manager. Beverly impressed me with her can-do spirit and she didn’t disappoint by being offered a new accounting position very quickly.

I’ve worked in retail before. I worked in healthcare before. Both of those industries rely heavily on referrals and return business. I didn’t think of Engage Employment Solutions as a similar business. I figured once a position is filled, a resume completed or career goal obtained I would no longer be working with my client. However, I’ve found this business to be like any other business. It’s not about making the sale or completing the order, but more about relationship building.
I am lucky and grateful for the friendships and positive working relationships I’ve gained through the business. I had the opportunity to work with Jenny and from that one experience I’ve worked with 4 more graduates from her university. A good number of clients have sent another client. A former client referred my skills to a business in need.
Indeed, the best compliment you can give businesses is your return business or in my case, referrals.
To our many clients, who continue to pay Lori and I with the compliments such as recommendations and referrals – a heartfelt thank you!
