I’ve had employers hold on filling positions for months – even years (thank goodness very rarely). The point I’m making is that hiring managers often want to hold off on hiring - waiting for the perfect fit. However, they often risk passing on a truly great opportunity.
A candidate’s attitude is golden. Candidates who have the potential or transferrable skills are more often become employees with the “perfect fit”. The time lost in waiting could be spent in investing and guiding a new hire into the “perfect fit”.
