Helped a client whose HR assistant was absent yesterday. We needed to link “new hires” with the orientation webinar. I was shocked and disappointed to find less than half of the “new hires” could attend the scheduled orientation. The “new hires” had been phone screened, interviewed, given conditional job offers and passed background checks in a course of 2 or 3 weeks…yet wanted to start when “they were ready”. They still want the position but wanted to wait until the next orientation was offered.
How many other employers are finding this to be a problem too?
