I don't usually use this space for job postings, but this is near and dear to my heart:
People make the difference at Wynn’s Family Market. In addition to our delicious food, our customers have come to depend on the friendly service our associates provide. We offer competitive pay, great benefits, and a flexible, family-oriented environment to work in. Wynn’s Market is a great place to work.
Wynn’s has many associates who have worked with our company for over 20 years. In fact, we are very proud to have Evelyn Dickerson working with us after more than 60 years. Evelyn was originally hired in 1954 by our founder Don Wynn and has been “adopted” as part of the family. If you love helping people, apply for our HR Generalist position and discover why have decided to join our family.
As the Human Resources Generalist for Wynn’s Market and Wynn’s Catering, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR operations. This role will be accountable for responsibilities in the following areas: payroll processing, recruitment, employee benefits, training and development.
What you will do
First and foremost – have an answer! This is the question with the longest pause during the interview. People really hate this question. The worse is saying, “I can’t think of anything. I’m a perfectionist.”
We are all human. Be honest and genuine by giving a real answer. However, let your interviewer know that you’re working on it by having a plan to improve with training or just continued practice. Let them know you know you have weak areas but are willing to listen and learn to turn the weakness into your strength.
Interview Question: What is your greatest strength?
Of course, you have many “strengths” to choose from, but choose the strength which will help the employer the most. Say it’s a Sales Manager job, if you’re good at turning low performing teams into high performers, by all means tell the interviewer about that special skill you have. Share something that makes them want to hire you – right now.
