Sure, if you watch or listen to the news, it’s hard to be optimistic or to plan for the future. But I have two clients this week with news of job interviews. One has two job interviews scheduled for next week. Another client has their Zoom interview today.
Now is not the time to bury your head in the sand – or Kitty Litter :o)

Tuesday Thought: Job Seekers, Do Your Homework!
I'm amazed how many candidates can't answer the interview question, "What do you know about our company?"
Many applicants are just applying to mass amounts of job openings. Some are even paying virtual assistants to apply for jobs for them.
The problem is… the applicants are caught off guard when contacted for a job interview - or worse yet can't answer that question during the interview because they don't know anything about the company.
Don't be caught with a "canned answer". Do your homework - google the company; visit their website; and check out the company reviews on Glassdoor.

Monday is a great day to make new LinkedIn connections!
Networking is important in every aspect, whether in a job search, in sales, or staying current in your field.
Try to reach out to someone in your field or someone who works at a company that you’re interested in.
Send a connection with a personalized message. It doesn’t need to be a paragraph long, just give a reason for the connection. It could be a follow up from a previous conversation or a common interest between you both have.
Don’t forget to thank them for their consideration and connection.

Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
